Brotha Phil comes from South Central Los Angeles and is a multi-talented artist who enjoys writing, performing and playing 12 instruments. Opera training gives his vocals a wide range and his influences have been all genres of music, from jazz to funk, soul to country. In his formative years, Brotha was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with artists flowing in and out of A&M studios where he did some session work.

The L.A. scene that fostered groups throughout the mid 80's was no stranger to the "hot young kid with all the talent" and Phil frequently found himself with backstage access to any concert or club he wished and was introduced to many industry heads who were all mesmerized by his abilities to write, compose, produce and perform his own original music.

One of such notables who attended Phil's performance at an L.A. Club named Hollywood Live was Prince and he held Brotha's abilities in high regard. After a tumultuous life filled with experiences that are the stuff of a PR marketer's dreams, Phil survived them all and has now written it all down in his music! He holds over 300 copyrights and gigabyte after gigabyte of more recorded gems! So enter into the era of Brotha Phil for he is indeed an artist for all ages...
